    9. CHOOSE THE RIGHT!!!!

"You will go far with CTR"
    -Mr. Haymore

I think that this quote/statement is so true and people should take it because if people are giving you some advice its not so they can judge you, it's so they can help you. Most of the people don't take most of the advice because they think that the person giving the advice is dumb or doesn't know there situation.

    Beautiful Character
If there is beauty in character,
there will be harmony in the home.
If there is harmony in the home,
There will be order in the nation.
If there is order in the nation,
There will be peace in the world.
    Conclusion:
If there is beauty in character,
There will be peace in the world.
    - Chinese Proverb

Reflection: I think that this quote/statement is very true and i really liked it because what the quote/statement is saying is that if you are a kind, honest, sweet  person then there will be peace in the world. This quote/statement is talking about beauty and the quote itself is beautiful it has so much meanings and i really liked it.

“It's better to fail with honor than to win by cheating. After all, if you fail with honor you are still a winner”

None of this would have happened if the Sam Houston Race Park track photographer hadn't been shooting from the inside rail. The $50,000 Richard King Turf Stakes on January 17, 2015, was the ninth race of the night, the seventh that jockey Roman Chapa had competed in since the start of the meet at Sam Houston Race Park the night before. Quiet Acceleration, a six-year-old thoroughbred owned by Texas trainer Danny Pish, was running toward the middle of the pack, boxed in by the rest of the field. The dark bay gelding hovered in fifth place as the riders pounded down the backstretch, surrounded by pounding hooves and the cries of jockeys urging on their horses. After Blaine High School sophomore Malik Stewart was pinned by Michael Albertville High School's Mitchell McKee in a championship match, Stewart didn't sulk or storm away in frustration. Instead he shook hands with McKee and his coaches, and then walked over and offered a handshake and a hug to McKee's father.
“I would prefer even to fail with honor than win by cheating.”
    -SOPHOCLES
Sophocles is one of three ancient Greek Tragedians whose plays have survived. His first plays were written later than those of Aeschylus, and earlier than or contemporary with those of Euripides. Sophocles wrote 120 plays during the course of his life, but only seven have survived in a complete form: Ajax, Antigone, The Women of Trachis, Oedipus the King, Electra, Philoctetes and Oedipus at Colonus. For almost 50 years, Sophocles was the most-fĂȘted playwright in the dramatic competitions of the city-state of Athens that took place during the religious festivals of the Lenaea and the Dionysia. He competed in 30 competitions, won 18, and was never judged lower than second place. Aeschylus won 14 competitions, and was sometimes defeated by Sophocles, while Euripides won 5 competitions.

    Memorial Day Weekend

This wonderful memorial day weekend i went the the park with all my family. We are one big family, we all got together to celebrate memorial day, to honor all the lives that fought for our freedom. We had like a huge picnic not big enough to be a party.  We had lots of food like pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs and many more different types of foods. It was very fun and that's a memory that i won't forget .

    “Memorial Day”

Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for remembering the people who died while serving in the country's armed forces The holiday, which is observed every year on the last Monday of May, originated as Decoration Day after the American Civil War in 1868, when the Grand Army of the Republic, an organization of Union veterans founded in Decatur, Illinois, established it as a time for the nation to decorate the graves of the war dead with flowers By the 20th century, competing Union and Confederate holiday traditions, celebrated on different days, had merged, and Memorial Day eventually extended to honor all Americans who died while in the military service. It typically marks the start of the summer vacation season, while Labor Day marks its end.

"If I've got correct goals, and if I keep

pursuing them the best way I know how,

everything else falls into line. If I do the

right thing right, I'm going to succeed."

    - Dan Dierdorf

Reflection: If someone has a goal, then they are more likely to get somewhere. If a person doesn't have goals, then they will have no purpose. If a person has no purpose, then they will not get far in life, and they will not be happy.  It is important to set goals so that you can achieve them, but you need to set goals that are correct. What I mean by correct is that these goals are met only by choosing the right and through constant hard work. If a person is constantly overachieving in everything they do, they are bound to end up reaching their goals.
    Wellness Specialist

Wellness specialists work for schools, local governments, companies or other organizations to suggest, support and train people on their health and fitness goals. The types of concerns are as varied as weight and diabetes prevention and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. A specialist often consults with people directly on lifestyle, eating and exercise habits and may direct an individual to a doctor for any serious health concerns. With rising healthcare costs, governments and companies are creating programs to educate the public and employees. These programs are often designed by and implemented by wellness specialists. Because of rising healthcare costs and the need for programs to reduce costs, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics expects the wellness field to grow by 37 percent between 2010 and 2020, which is much faster than average for other careers in the United States. The average salary for a wellness specialist was $53,100 in 2012, according to the BLS. A wellness specialist often has a degree in a related discipline such as nursing, fitness or sports medicine. There are no specific requirements, but many positions require on-the-job training in addition to certification from accredited wellness organizations such as the International Association of Wellness Professionals.

    An internal phenomenon
“The reward for doing right is mostly an internal phenomenon: self-respect, dignity (self-worth), integrity, and self-esteem.”
    Dr. Laura Schlessinger

Reflection: what this quote mean to me is saying is that when you do good you feel good . you feel better about yourself . that's it's not ways to get a reward of money . it makes you a better person within  and it helps you with your self -esteem . you need to do good just to feel good inside .not worry about money when doing something good . and always choose the right .the feeling of doing good makes you feel good  more than anything in the world . it’s like a firework inside you , you feel something so amazing.

    Phillip Rigg’s Four Success Tips
    1. Work Hard.
    2. Follow your passions. Do
things you are interested in doing.
    1. Don't chase after money.
    2. Serve others. Do good things for others
And good thing will come to you.

Reflection: what this quote is telling us is that we have to go and follow our passion even if it is drawing  or if it is sing or dancing . we have to work hard in life .also we have to learn that we should do things for money because on it can affect you later or you wouldn't be happy . working shouldn't be a pain it should be something you look forward to .we should just believe in the things you do . and work hard to make a job out of it . we can do great things in life . if you just try and never give up.

    WORLD RECORDS

The lankiest canine in recorded history was Zeus, a great dane that measured 1.12 metres (44in) tall until his death last year. The lofty mutt was owned by the Doorlag family from Michigan and his record-breaking career began when Kevin Doorlag was watching TV: “We saw [previous title-holder] Giant George on Oprah Winfrey and I was like, ‘Man, Zeus has got to be right up there.’ We tried to measure him but he’s such a baby, he was scared of the tape measure.” Zeus was indeed a gentle giant and a part-time pet therapy dog. When he stood on his hind legs, he was 2.2m (7ft 4in) tall, more than a third of the height of an average giraffe.

The largest pizza has a total surface area of 1,261.65 m² (13,580.28 ft²) and was prepared by Dovilio Nardi, Andrea Mannocchi, Marco Nardi, Matteo Nardi and Matteo Giannotte (all Italy) from NIP food at Fiera Roma, in Rome, Italy, on 13 December 2012.The pizza was named "Ottavia", a word of Roman origin for "eighth son", as a homage to the first Roman emperor Octavian Augustus, who represented an epoch-making change in the history of Rome and brought the Empire into a period of economic and cultural unrest.

The heaviest apple weighed 1.849 kilograms (4 pounds, 1 ounce). It was grown by Chisato Iwasaki at his apple farm in Hirosaki City, Japan, and was picked Oct. 24, 2005.

“You knew what I was when you picked me up”

    This quotes is that always
in a situation or action of the life
is very important that always in the routine
that have the consequences that  have is wrong
because i think that the snake is a specie the
reflect in a moment wrong because is venous and them in the bible the snake is wrong and you decide to pick up anyway.and the example of a snake is that is strong , look that in the life no is good that in the situations that present realize an action wrong because the consequences is horrible.

“In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing.”
    -Theodore Roosevelt

Reflection:  this quote is trying to say is that you can choose the right at any moment . if lets say your do drugs . but you want to stop . it is not too late to stop and choose the right . you can do the right thing still even if you chose wrong before . you can change your decisions from bad to good . just because you choose wrong first it doesn't mean you can choose right next .you have to power to correct your path . you can change the world you choose when you choose the wrong . And change it to the good world you want.

“Nothing is ever gained in doing what’s wrong”

    -Wilford Woodruff

Reflection: i think this statement is say that you don't win anything with doing what is wrong . if you do the right you gain many thing . unlike if you do wrong you lose many things like your word . your word will not have no power later on . and all because you choose the wrong . think about it would you want to gain or lose something . think about it because sometimes you can lose the people you love or  the thing you love most . so choose the right !! stop  doing what's wrong . the more you try to gain the less nothing will appear. The less you don't gain the ,more you will find out or stuff will happen quicker. Like if you gain a lot of lies in one argument the problem is going to get worse. You need to try hard and not try to make up things bigger because it will turn bad. Just try to be a CTR person because a CTR person gaines lots of things.

It's A GREAT MOMENT when someone has character to step up and do the right thing at the right time."
    - Pam Knox

Reflection: this quote means that we should stand up for what is right . i think it's trying to say that it's wonderful when someone has the courage to stand up for what they believe in . i agree with this because some of us are scared to stand up for what we believe in .we need to stop being scared and stand for what is right and when it's right . it’s hard at times be it's better to be right . we all work in order for the fear not to control us . we have to always choose the right . and do what is best for us which is to step up for the right things and do the right thing when it is the right time. These days society can bring you down and even bully you for standing up for someone. That is why it's a good moment when someone stands up for themselves and does the right thing. Not many people can stand up and defend themselves. That is why someone does it for them because they are not capable of facing the real world and society. If someone offers you drugs and any illegal things you should stand up for what you don't want to consume.
    Speech Pathologist

Speech-language pathologists assess, diagnose, treat, and help to prevent communication and swallowing disorders in patients. Speech, language, and swallowing disorders result from a variety of causes, such as a stroke, brain injury, hearing loss, developmental delay, Parkinson’s disease, a cleft palate, or autism. Speech-language pathologists work with patients who have problems with speech and language, including related cognitive or social communication problems. Their patients may be unable to speak at all, or they may speak with difficulty or have rhythm and fluency problems, such as stuttering. Speech-language pathologists may work with people who are unable to understand language or with those who have voice disorders, such as inappropriate pitch or a harsh voice. The median annual wage for speech-language pathologists was $73,410 in May 2015. The median wage is the wage at which half the workers in an occupation earned more than that amount and half earned less. The lowest 10 percent earned less than $46,000, and the highest 10 percent earned more than $114,840. Speech-language pathologists typically need at least a master’s degree. Although master’s programs do not require a particular undergraduate degree for admission, certain courses must be taken before entering a program. Required courses vary by institution.

“I have been asked what i mean by ‘WORD of HONOR.’ i will tell you : Place me behind prison walls-walls of stone ever so high, ever so thick, reaching ever so far into the ground -there is a possibility that in some way or another i might be able to escape; but stand me on the floor and draw a chalk line around me and have me give MY WORD OF HONOR never to cross it.CAN I GET OUT OF THAT CIRCLE? NO/ NEVER! I’D DIE FIRST.”

    - Karl G. Maeser

Reflection: I think that it is very important the honor of word because
the people is always right and is very important speak in good honor
because the prison no is a good benefice in the life and is a
possibility that in some way or another escape and
the problems in the life. It's too good realize action wrong because
looking the prison or the circle is a negative option that the person
realize and express with feel and the honor is important .

    Medical Scientist
They often use clinical trials and other investigative methods to reach their findings. Many medical scientists form hypotheses and develop experiments, with little supervision. They often lead teams of technicians, and sometimes students, who perform support tasks. For example, a medical scientist working in a university laboratory may have undergraduate assistants take measurements and make observations for the scientist’s research.Medical scientists study the causes of diseases and other health problems. For example, a medical scientist who does cancer research might put together a combination of drugs that could slow the cancer’s progress. A clinical trial may be done to test the drugs. A medical scientist may work with licensed physicians to test the new combination on patients who are willing to participate in the study. The median annual wage for medical scientists was $82,240 in May 2015. The median wage is the wage at which half the workers in an occupation earned more than that amount and half earned less. The lowest 10 percent earned less than $44,510, and the highest 10 percent earned more than $155,180. Students planning careers as medical scientists typically pursue a bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field. Undergraduate students benefit from taking a broad range of classes, including life sciences, physical sciences, and math. Students also typically take courses that develop communication and writing skills, because they must learn to write grants effectively and publish research findings.

    The 10 Indian Commandments

    1. Treat the Earth and all that dwells therein with respect
    2. Remain close to the Great Spirit.
    3. Show great respect to your fellow beings.
    4. Work together for the benefits off all mankind.
    5. Give assistance and kindness to wherever needed
    6. Do what you know to be right.
    7. Look after the well-being of the mind and body.
    8. Dedicate a share of your efforts to the great good.
    9. Be truthful and honest at all time.
    10. Take full responsibility for your actions.

Reflection: I thinks that this are great commandments to live by. In general they are all important to follow . For example we should respect one another all the time. Sometimes we forget to respect each other but we want to be respected, also the commandment to do what is right. It's like being a CTR person. And be trustful and honest now a days everyone is fake. They can't be trusted and honest they don't know what that is  it's sad. We should be able to trust each other. And lastly the best one of all take full responsibility for your actions that's the one I really like.
    Reflexologist

Reflexologist is an alternative medicine involving application of pressure to the feet and hands with specific thumb, finger, and hand techniques without the use of oil or lotion. It is based on a system of zones and reflex areas that purportedly reflect an image of the body on the feet and hands, with the premise that such work effects a physical change to the body. There is no consensus among reflexologists on how reflexology is supposed to work; a unifying theme is the idea that areas on the foot correspond to areas of the body, and that by manipulating these one can improve health through one's qi.Reflexologists divide the body into ten equal vertical zones, five on the right and five on the left Concerns have been raised by medical professionals that treating potentially serious illnesses with reflexology, which has no proven efficacy, could delay the seeking of appropriate medical treatment. According to the BLS, therapists including reflexologists can expect to make an average full-time annual salary of $39,760.

“A promise must never be broken.”
    Alexander Hamilton

Reflection: I agree with this quote a promise should never be broken .for example if you say i'm going to be at your house at 4:30 to study and you don't go until 6:30 or don't show do you think the person is going to trust you. you have to keep your word because if not you word will mean nothing . it's hard sometimes to keep a promise  but that why you don't promise  something you can keep. you need to take your promises and keep them . another example is when your best friend says  you will never be alone . im always and always be here for you no matter what  . and at the end he or she ends up leaving you or stops talking to you . never make promise that you don't mean because the promise can mean the world to someone .so keep your promises don't ever break them.
    Registered Nurse

Registered nurses provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about various health conditions, and provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members. Registered nurses work in hospitals, physician's’ offices, home healthcare services, and nursing care facilities. Others work in correctional facilities or schools, or serve in the military. In all nursing education programs, students take courses in anatomy, physiology, microbiology, chemistry, nutrition, psychology, and other social and behavioral sciences, as well as in liberal arts. BSN programs typically take 4 years to complete; ADN and diploma programs usually take 2 to 3 years to complete. All programs include supervised clinical experience. The median annual wage for registered nurses was $67,490 in May 2015. The median wage is the wage at which half the workers in an occupation earned more than that amount and half earned less. The lowest 10 percent earned less than $46,360, and the highest 10 percent earned more than $101,630. Employment of registered nurses is projected to grow 16 percent from 2014 to 2024, much faster than the average for all occupations. Growth will occur for a number of reasons, including an increased emphasis on preventive care; growing rates of chronic conditions, such as diabetes and obesity; and demand for healthcare services from the baby-boom population, as they live longer and more active lives.
